Born in July 8 1989 in Paris' 17th district, Ariane Verticordia is a French visual artist and craftswoman currently based in the French Riviera, France.
She showed a keen interest on arts and nature at a young age and naturally embraced a sensitive way of living as a consequence.
Versatile artist, Ariane uses mostly words, lyrical abstract painting, photography and video-art to express herself.
Her relationship with her pets (birds, cat, dog...) also plays an important role in her artistic approach.
In high school she specialised in Visual Arts and then entered Plastic-Arts section in the University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne.
There she learnt how to sharpen her senses and decrypt images' psychology.
Likewise, Aesthetic and History of Art courses developed her craving for interpretation and symbolism.
Ariane has multiple sources of inspiration. Most of them come from late 19th century like Romanticism, Arts and Crafts movement, Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, Symbolism... But she is also inspired by Japanese culture, like its legends, but also its subculture like magical-girls. Likewise, Norse and Celtic legends kepp her imaginarum alive.
She also show artisanal skills as an assembly-jeweller and finally opened her services as an Astrologer in October 2021, after studying intensely since 2009.
Since October 2022, Ariane is studying jewellery at the École Provençale de Joaillerie, an Aix-en-Provence branch of the Haute École de Joaillerie de Paris.
